Aharon Gluska (born 1951) is an Israeli–American painter. Gluska was born in 1951 in Hadera, Israel. He studied at the Académie des Beaux-Arts in Paris and Avni Institute of Fine Arts in Tel Aviv.

Gluska received grants from the National Endowment for the Arts and the Jackson Pollock- Lee Krasner Foundation.
Awards
Gluska was one of two winners along with Moshe Kupferman, of the 1996 Zussman Prize for artists dealing with the Holocaust, from the Yad Vashem museum, for his paintings of prisoners at Auschwitz based on photographs of them taken by their Nazi guards.

Using domestic construction materials from her garage, extras from home improvement projects or the garden, have been captured, much like a photogram, but with paint, not silver. By blending photography and painting, Fagan finds that the patterns created with industrial, mass-produced objects around the house and garage, speak to her interest in producing paintings that link to sound. Carol Bennett's artwork is a meditative journey through both the water and through life. She is one of the few artists to truly capture what it's like to be in and moving and swimming through the water.
For Carol, the act of swimming underwater is similar to the process of painting. Her approach results in multi-layered surfaces that are intricate and textured and unexpected. She is constantly experimenting with her pieces: adding, subtracting, sanding. When she is not painting Swimmers, she is capturing the fish surrounding her.
She has created over 100 large public and corporate commissions internationally, and is in private collections around the world. Carol Bennett was recently currently featured in two exhibits at the Honolulu Museum of Art. Networking and Water: Carol Bennett featuring female swimmers, as well as marine nets floating or submerged in water. Bennett was also part of the group exhibit Making Waves highlighting the important role of women artists in the museum’s contemporary collection. In this show, the works by international and Hawaii-based artists all have a relationship to water. Featured artists also included: April Gornik, Agnes Martin, Judy Pfaff, Kiki Smith and Pat Steir!

This work was created and exhibited at the same time as the series (r) evolution, and was conceived using a similar process: many layers of encaustic are applied, then hand cut squares of Japanese paper which have been dipped in encaustic are mounted on the panel. Finally, each square is covered with clear encaustic medium, then painted with oil to create spatial depth.
It was inspired by the artist’s ongoing interest in music and music theory. It is about pattern, rhythm, and intervals of notes as exemplified by the choice and placement of color.
Adams has been intrigued by math and serial systems since her days of graduate school at New England Conservatory (Boston, Massachusetts) when John Cage was composer in residence at Harvard University.
