Bartlett’s first survey exhibition was held in 1985 at the Walker Art Center, Minneapolis, and traveled to the Brooklyn Museum, New York, and the Carnegie Museum of Art, Philadelphia, among others. In 2006, the Addison Gallery of American Art surveyed Bartlett’s early enameled steel plate paintings in the period from 1968–76. In 2013-14, Klaus Ottmann curated her second traveling survey, which visited the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts and the Parrish Art Museum, New York. About the Artist: Otto de Souza Aguiar (Brazilian 1938–2006), the son of a highly respected Brazilian general, graduated with honors and was awarded a Master's Degree in Graphic Art and Drawing from the University of Fine Arts in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. After teaching drawing and design to aspiring architects, Otto began the extensive travels through Europe that were his induction into the world of High Fashion and Interior Design. As one of Brazil's top models, his engagements took him to Milan, Paris, and London. There, with his assignments in Harper's Bazaar Italia and others of the world's most prestigious publications, Aguiar developed an inspired aesthetic perception, which manifests itself boldly in his dramatic blending of sumptuous color, texture and gilding. Uncompromising in his thirst for creativity, Otto has combined his vast fashion and theatrical background with his diversified experience in the Visual Arts. Thus, his work has been characterized by the portrayal of elegance and grace. His inner tranquility manifests in his paintings as he recaptures the lush topical beauty of the Brazilian beaches...

Val Wong Worm, unique signed painting on paper from ex-owner of Cadillac Art Car
Located in New York, NY
Kenny Scharf Val Wong Worm, 2006 Oil, acrylic, silkscreen and rhinestones on paper Signed, dated and titled by the artist on the die-cut window on the back Frame Included: elegantly floated and framed in a museum quality white wood frame with a die-cut window to reveal the signature on the back of the artwork An impressive unique Kenny Scharf work on paper - with an equally riveting back story. This work was gifted directly by Kenny Scharf to the original owner, who is the collector who commissioned Scharf to make his famous Souped-Up, Decked-Out Coupe De Ville Cadillac Art Car which sold for about US $400,000 at Heritage Auctions in 2023. Measurements: Frame: 49.5 x 35 x 2 inches Artwork: 44 x 30 inches This work is accompanied by a letter of provenance stating, "This letter will serve to outline the provenance of the Kenny Scharf "Val Wong Worm" work on paper from 2006. In 2005, I and my two business partners in the firm Trackside Brothers, LLC commissioned Kenny Scharf to paint/customize a 1960 Cadillac for my personal collection. The car was essentially brand new having only 5,300 miles at the time of commissioning. Knowing that the year and model were on of Kenny's favorites, he was keen on the undertaking but somewhat apprehensive due to the pristine condition of the car and came to our studio in Delray Beach, Florida to undertake the project. In advance Kenny had shipped three boxes of "Object d'art" to use in the creation what would become "Astral Uber Cumulo Nimbus Atlantian Express." I was honored to be granted the role of Kenny's assistant for the four week "transformation." Kenny stated at the time that I was the only collector to act as his assistant on any of his art projects. In order to properly document the creative process from start to finish we hired Five Star Productions of Boca Raton, Florida to shoot the project resulting in the documentary "Kenny and the Cadillac." Upon its completion we "launched" the car into the world at Art Basel Miami in 2006. We had the launch party at the Raleigh hotel with the Caddy on a rotating turntable by the pool. There were hundreds of gallery/museum directors at the event which garnered significant press. Kenny and his friends conducted a "Cave Man" performance piece dancing and singing around the car, all of which was filmed for the documentary. In appreciation for the time, effort and expense of the project, documentary and launch party, Kenny gifted each of us a work on paper from his "Worm" series of 2006. My gift...

'Rona Bots Money Edition, ' by XVALA, Mixed Media Painting
Located in Oklahoma City, OK
This large scale 113" x 55" mixed media painting by XVALA was created during the pandemic and features floating green robots on a silver canvas with multi-color dollar signs throughout. The COVID-19 pandemic has had a devastating effect on the global economy. The Rona Bots have canceled the economy, but it's not only our money that has been affected. XVALA appropriated this specific dollar symbol from Andy Warhol to remind us that the pandemic has also ripped through the fabric of pop culture in 2020. XVALA's art illuminates the hidden fallout spawned from our high tech Internet age. His Fear Google campaign exposed the decay of privacy and No Delete used hacked nude celebrity photos to highlight loss of control over personal information. The artist has worked with trash from the homes of Mark Zuckerberg, Steve Jobs, and others, as well as dirt from the graves of George Orwell and Aldous Huxley. The dirt appears in the New World Order collection as part of a pyramidal, 3D printed, living ant farm...

'Rona Wars: Cyberpunk Edition, ' by XVALA, Mixed Media Painting
Located in Oklahoma City, OK
This 61" x 44" mixed media painting by the artist XVALA is from his series 'Pandemic Collection: 6.' The painting was created with iridescent oil stick and spray paint on a screen print of a Star Wars poster. The abstracted "Basquiat-inspired" work depicts a silver robot with red eyes and large white teeth on a purple and blue background with the text 'cyber punk' in red at the bottom of the painting. 2020 twisted human reality in a number of ways no one could ever have predicted. XVALA pays tribute to this by melding the original Star Wars movie poster with the unexpected weirdness of the 21st Century. By combining a classic sci-fi villain with a modern symbol of literal Cyberpunk, XVALA shows the COVID-19 virus aimed straight toward the earth with a mission to destroy it. Exhibited during the Pandemic Paintings exhibition at the Meme Ranch August 7th, 2020. XVALA's art illuminates the hidden fallout spawned from our high tech Internet age. His' Fear Google' campaign exposed the decay of privacy and 'No Delete' used hacked nude celebrity photos to highlight loss of control over personal information. The artist has worked with trash from the homes of Mark Zuckerberg, Steve Jobs, and others, as well as dirt from the graves of George Orwell and Aldous Huxley.
