The authentication/denial process of the [[Andy Warhol Art Authentication Board]] was used to create value by submitting recreations of Warhol works for judgment with the full intention for the works to be formally marked "DENIED". The final product of the conceptual project being "officially denied" "Warhol" paintings authored by Lutz. Based on a press photo painted by Pop Artist Andy Warhol in early 1960's, this is likely one of the most iconic images from his Death and Disaster Series. The Death and Disaster Series was a dark view of the time's media and death culture. In 1935 he moved with his family to Los Angeles. After high school, DuWayne attended Santa Monica City College as an art major for two years. He knew he wanted to be an artist at an early age. He then studied painting with Boris Deautsch at Otis Art Institute, followed by enrolling at Chouinard Art Institute (now California Institute of the Arts) where he studied under the tutorship of Richard Haines and Rex Brandt, while developing his direct and robust style.
