Matisse Cut Outs

Cardozo is a geometric black, gray, and white abstract collage, featuring Matisse-like cut-outs of dogs, coffee mugs, and plants.

The essence much the same as a Matisse ‘cut-out’ with minimal form devoid of any descriptive detail as if delicate pieces of paper have softly floated onto the scarf.

This work was produced under Matisse's supervision for a special issue of Verve dedicated to Matisse's paper cut-outs.
