These oysters whose portraits I painted were all from the Hilton Head area.

It was off the Chesapeake Bay, where we have enjoyed eating many oysters. I was so excited that we shared the marina with several working oyster boats.

Artist Commentary: My husband and I love eating oysters. When we travel, we always eat the local oysters and choose one to take with us to remember the experience.
