Silver Snuff Boxes

A nice pair of horn of silver snuff or trinket boxes. One is hallmarked with English Sterling hallmarks the other I believe is silverplate.

The surface of this silver snuff/trinket box has a satin finish and bears features reflecting the curvilinear nature of the banana's peel.

Crafted in Russia in 1824, this box was far more than a decorative object for carrying snuff.
