About the Item

The Snuff Box has a shaped base and rim and incuse corners. The sides are engraved with engine turning, as is the base, which also displays a raised foliate scroll and flower head border. The cover is unusually decorated with floral sprays and foliate scrolls in high relief. The centre is engraved with a detailed oval panel engraved with Ducks in flight in reeds and over water.
