George III Period Scottish Sterling Silver-Mounted Snuff Mull With Hinged Lid

George III Period, sterling silver (unmarked, but tested)-mounted ram's horn snuff mull, Scotland, Ca. 1790-1810. There is a sterling silver disc on the top of the hinged lid that is engraved HMD in script. Measures 1 inch diameter across the sterling silver-mounted hinged lid (widest point) x 3 inches high when standing upright on its back x 8 1/2 inches when measured from highest point all the way around to the end of its curl. There are two scallops on the sterling silver mount on the top front of the lid of the mull that are missing (see photos) commensurate with age and use. Dark areas on sterling silver in photos are reflections. In good antique condition.
