Excellent art ceramic figurine from the 1930s: Striding young lady with a cropped, delicate top and a large hat, holding up the long, wide skirt with a stylized floral pattern with both hands. On a black oval base, artist's signature 'Dakon' on the bottom. Based on the film 'The Blonde Dream', starring Lilian Harvey. From 1923 she attended the ballet school of the German State Opera and received first paid appearances as a dancer in Hungary and Austria. During the Nazi era in Germany Lilian Harvey's career stopped because of her opposition to the regime and she emigrated first to southern France and then to the United States. After the war she returned to Europe and took turns living in Germany and France, where she died in 1968. Designed by STEPHAN DAKON...
