He was foreign minister, minister of Grace and Justice and ambassador to London of the Kingdom of Italy. In 1943 Dino Grandi moved to Spain and Portugal, where he resided until 1948. The forties were particularly hard: in Portugal he gave repetitions of Latin while his wife worked as a milliner to survive. Luck returned in the 1950s when he had representative positions for Fiat.
