Joan Palet was born in Barcelona on March 28, 1911, in a family of sculptors and woodcarvers. He began in the artistic environment from a young age and helps in the family workshop, where he shows special skills for drawing and soon manifests an unusual artistic vocation that led him to draw everything he sees and undertake a career that he will not abandon until his death. In 1930. Palet enrolled in Llotja, the School of Fine Arts in Barcelona and attended night courses with real passion, after long working hours. Some of his teachers were Ramon Calsina, Félix Mestres, Labarta, F. Pérez Dols and Antoni Vila Arrufat.
