Mario Angel Art

Canadian, b. 1948

Born in the vibrant landscapes of Colombia and now a proud Canadian citizen, Mario Angel has woven the tapestry of his artistic journey across continents, transcending the boundaries of time and space. A true luminary of the art world, Mario Angel embarked on his lifelong artistic pursuit, a passion that only flourished into its full splendor upon retirement ten years ago. The genesis of Mario Angel's artistic prowess can be traced back to his formative years at the University of Fine Arts in Medellin, where he honed his skills and imbibed the rich cultural influences that would later infuse his work with a distinctive flair. Yet, it was only in the embrace of retirement that he could fully commit to the canvas, unshackling the creative spirit that had simmered within him for decades. Mario Angel has dedicated his artistic endeavors to the vibrant medium of acrylic on canvas, wielding the brush as a conduit for his innermost thoughts and emotions. His latest venture, the Cosmic Conspiracy style, stands as a testament to his relentless pursuit of innovation and the uncharted realms of artistic expression. This avant-garde style is a marriage of cosmic symbolism and abstract expressionism, resulting in a visual language that captivates and challenges the viewer's perceptions. In his quest to transcend realism, Mario Angel invites us to join him on a journey through the enigmatic landscapes of the subconscious mind. The Cosmic Conspiracy paintings serve as portals into new dimensions, where questions are raised and truths hidden within every human being are brought to the forefront. Breaking away from classical norms, Mario Angel manifests the human experience through his unique brushstrokes, unraveling the intricate connection between the subconscious mind and the mundane actions of everyday life. Through his art, Mario Angel aspires to illuminate the path towards a deeper understanding of our shared existence. His paintings become a bridge between the tangible and intangible, inviting viewers to contemplate the hidden truths that permeate our reality. In doing so, he challenges conventional norms, urging us to reconsider our perceptions and embrace the infinite possibilities that lie within the cosmic realms he unveils. As Mario Angel continues to push the boundaries of artistic expression, his work serves as an invitation to explore the uncharted territories of the mind and the universe. In each stroke and color choice, he beckons us to join him in the Cosmic Conspiracy - a revelation of the profound beauty and complexity that lies beneath the surface of our everyday lives.
