Yellow Emoji is a unique portrait painting by Natasha Lelenco from her ongoing You Are The One series, a body of work investigating how identity is constructed, stylized and consumed within contemporary image culture. The painting depicts a frontal female portrait rendered in saturated yellow tones and framed within an ornate oval structure painted in the same luminous color. The figure's most striking feature is her emoji-like eyes, which transform a traditional painted portrait into an image suspended between human presence and digital representation. Throughout the You Are The One series, Lelenco explores the relationship between individuality and repetition.
