Monica Denevan Prints and Multiples

American, b. 1977
Monica Denevan studied photography at San Francisco State University. She has travelled extensively in Burma and China for many years. Denevan’s photographs have been exhibited internationally including solo shows in San Francisco, Hong Kong and Bangkok. Her work blurs the distinction between cultural documentation and artistic portraiture. It begins with personal connections made travelling in South East Asia and evolves from the people and their immediate environment. The individuals live in remote regions far from the changes wrought by industrial development, with a traditional culture that remains linked to the past and the intangible spirit of their homeland. Monica’s photographs transcend the subjects themselves to acknowledge their participation in a world of extraordinary resonance and harmony, humming within lives most ordinary. Recently, her work was included in the Annenberg Space for Photography’s “No Strangers” slideshow event in Los Angeles and the Photolucida Critical Mass Top 50 2012. Her work has been published in LensWork, Bangkok Airways Inflight Magazine, ZYZZYVA, Communication Arts Photo Annual, SHOTS, Black and White Magazine, The Photo Review, and Artvas-The Photo (Korea) among others. Denevan’s images have been on the cover of Black+White Photography (UK), The Sun magazine (US), and Les Iles by Philippe Lancon (Paris: J’ai Lu). Online, her work has been featured on LENSCRATCH, F-Stop magazine, Le Journal de la Photographie, and Art Photo Index (photo-eye). Monica has won numerous awards including The International Photography Award 2005, Centre for Fine Art Photography Award 2008, Centre for Photographic Art Award 2017 among many others. Her work is held in the UCSF Medical Centre collection.

Cyd Fontaine (Lausanne, 1992) is a contemporary artist renowned for her captivating use of dreamy atmospheric gradients, which has helped her carve a distinctive niche in the world of digital art. Drawing inspiration from the ethereal beauty of nature, Fontaine's artistic journey has taken her on an imaginative exploration of space, depth, and emotion through the medium of large digital prints. Her signature style is characterized by the use of vast, immersive gradients that seem to stretch infinitely across space. These gradients evoke a sense of enigmatic calmness, inviting viewers to lose themselves in the expanse of her visual landscapes. Her ability to create a feeling of boundless depth and space within her pieces, combined with subtle minimalist compositions, is a testament to her mastery of the digital medium. Diana - 'Stare'

David Koppel served his photographic apprenticeship in the rough-and-tumble world of the Fleet Street paparazzi in 1980’s London when his skills captured the very essence of the Me Decade that gave birth to the celebrity culture of today. Koppel’s classic photographs of Frank Sinatra, Marlon Brando, Jack Nicholson, the Rolling Stones, David Bowie, Paul McCartney, Eric Clapton & the Royal Family appeared in every major newspaper and magazine and marked him out as that rarity amongst press photographers: the artist with a camera. Building on the reputation gained through the photographs for the book Still Waters, his black-and-white portraits of ordinary people now rank among the many famous names in his portfolio. Koppel also went one better and in 2002 bought the St Giles St Gallery , bringing the best of local and international contemporary art and photography to Norwich, including the works of Sir Peter Blake, Terry O’Neill, David Bailey, Maggie Hambling, Storm Thorgersson, Tim Woolcock...
