The vintage majolica centerpiece features a finely detailed pyramid of artichokes in woven basket, artfully painted in soft shades of green; the basket is done in monochromatic white glaze, creating a reserved, natural color palette of white and tone-on-tone green. The Artichoke Centerpiece was one of the first decorative objects Mottahedeh made in Italy, probably in collaboration with Basso, an Italian manufacturer. The centerpiece offers a touch of historical elegance and whimsical charm to any space.
