About

Lidded cachepot made in Italy for the Mottahedeh company, known for their luxury ceramic antique reproductions and historic designs. Gold transfer ware on green ground. Orientalist scene with figures. Lid with gold finial and rim. Gold lions on left and right side. Faintly marked on underside of pedestal foot. See images eight and nine where I show this together with two other Italian earthenware vessels, each of which is very stylish and look great together as a group.
