The vase has a glossy spicy mustard yellow glaze over a rough rustic body creating a smooth touch but a brutal look to the piece. The Chamotte line was first introduced in the late 1930s. A fantastic large vintage ceramic vase from the very well-known designer Olle Alberius, known as "Sarek" from Rörstrand, Sweden. Alberius ceramic always has a special feeling, the shapes are simple, but the glazing is just stunning, the pattern is slightly abstract, yet knowing that Alberius has used the Swedish nature as an inspiration for his ceramics make sense. Sarek is one of Sweden's most famous national parks, hence the name of the series. All his objects are individual since they are hand painted. The price includes free shipping. It has a warm dark brown color with earth tones as well as white details and is signed and numbered. It is 22cm high and 9cm in diameter (8.66") and (3.54") and it is in a very good condition. Between the years 1957 - 1965, Olle Alberius worked in Strömstad as a designer at SYCO keramik, where he created a large number of dishes, figurines, vases and bowls. He later works at Rörstrand, and between 1963 and 1965 he was employed at both SYCO keramik and Rörstrand.
