The fabulous turtle has a fully modeled three dimensional design with gorgeous Ruby eyes, wonderful engraved patterns throughout its head and legs, and the exquisite pink banded Rhodochrosite heart shaped body. I just love this! This whimsical turtle or tortoise walks delightfully across the body and creates a conversation piece to be passed on for generations. Animal inspired jewels are all the rage today. These antique gem set animal jewels are among the most highly desired and collected today. Provenance: The turtle is from the Bel Air estate of Delmer and Mary Lou Daves where a who's who of Hollywood legends (Cole Porter entertained guests at the piano) were entertained. Their love story began on the set of the 1938 film, "Professor Beware."
