A beautifully patinated bronze outdoor dining set designed by Walter Lamb.

This highly-sought-after and collectible dining set comprised of four bronze dining chairs and a 48.5" diameter bronze patio dining table was designed by Walter Lamb and produced by Brown Jordan. These rare original early production examples are from the earlier years of Lamb's work with Brown Jordan, dating to the 1960s. The dining side chairs are comprised of tubular bronze frames featuring the original highly attractive verdigris patinated finish and have been newly re-strung with period correct woven sail cord, a braided cotton with a nylon core to prevent stretching. This new cording retains the integrity of the design while allowing this set to be fully functional and enjoyed for years to come. The dining table is the rare, larger 48.5" diameter round version - sits four people comfortably but more chairs can be added to fit more people. Vintage textured glass can be changed to new glass with your choice of tint and the option of adding an umbrella Stand hole. Walter Lamb experimented with leftover copper and bronze tubing from World War II, his designs are now highly collected pieces of functional art and a Classic staple for high-end luxury interior designers and architects. They are the perfect blend of Mid-Century Modern design, art and quality - the kind of quality you don't find in the products of today. Note: Often times you will find the bronze frames scrubbed of the original patina that was developed over the years. When the blue-green patina is removed, the frames appear to be dark brown (bronze colored). We do not advise this, as much of the collectible value and attraction to these designs come from the natural organic patina that has taken decades to develop into what we believe is natures art. Once cleaned it will take a very long time for the patina to develop back. Be cautious buying a Walter Lamb piece that does not have subtle to moderate patina. This set has beautiful original patina which has developed over many, many years. This sophisticated set of four Walter Lamb dining chairs and round dining table would be a great addition used together or individually indoors or out as part of a Classic, contemporary or Mid-Century Modern dining room, living room, den, family room, office, patio, garden, sunroom, veranda or balcony.
