Wendy Klemperer was born in 1958 in Boston, Massachusetts. Raised in Cambridge and Watertown, she was most able to explore her passion for animals and nature during summers spent at her grandmother's country house in New Hampshire. The daughter of two chemists, she grew up with dual interests of art and the biological sciences and received a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from Harvard University before deciding to pursue art full-time. Klemperer moved to New York City in 1980 and studied at Pratt Institute. In the early 1990s, she started welding and soon was concentrating on larger outdoor sculpture. Scrap yards and construction sites provide the raw material for her linear, gestural sculpture. Klemperer finds most of the forms already bent into the piles of rebar, her process is largely to select and cut, tack-welding the pre-existing curves into sculptural form. Klemperer lives in Brooklyn, New York and Nelson, New Hampshire. She has exhibited her work throughout the United States.

Pigasus Pink Pig Resin Sculpture, Contemporary, Signed, Edition of 8
By Patrick Schumacher
Located in Miami, FL
In the Greek mythology, Pegasus was a handsome white winged horse. He was in charge by Zeus to bring thunderstorms and lightenings upon the Olympus Mount, known to be the Home of the Gods. In more recent times, Pigasus turned into a 145 pounds domestic pig, nominated for President in the 1960's by the Youth International Party the Yippies. This movement became popular for their stands against war and political establishment. Patrick Schumacher was inspired by this symbolic animal as a memorial of the Peace and Love era. Born in 1953, Patrick Schumacher is a German contemporary sculptor based in Nice, France. Classically trained in the foundation of Art in Strasbourg, France, he specialises in restoring art antiquities. As a result of his training, Schumacher acquired an extensive range of technical knowledge which he applies to a broad spectrum of materials. Finding inspiration in cultural origins combined with his interests in both classical and Asiatic art...
