The painting is of a woman in a pink button-up top with short blond hair on a blue background. She has piercing blue eyes and a soft pink lip. The painting is matted in cream. This piece has not been examined outside the frame. However, it seems to be hand-painted on silk. This would be a fabulous piece to add to a portrait painting gallery wall, or alone in a powder bath or hallway. It could easily be reframed to fit into any aesthetic. The piece is unsigned from what we can tell. However, it might feature a signature under the matte. The back has a gold sticker that says, "Fergusons' Paint & Decorating, 5118 North May Avenue...

Sourced from the estate of the late Oklahoma artist Clair Seglam. An airforce man for most of his life, Seglem only began painting after his retirement. Most known for his vibrant portraits and nudes, he completed a vast portfolio of work before he died in 2020. This piece is part of a collection that was found in one of his old sketchbooks. It was hidden away in our warehouse when we happened upon it during inventory one day. To our surprise, the notebook held a jewel box of unseen work. This piece is on a half sheet and combined with another painting. This piece appears to be a first or second draft of the other. It features a woman with dark black hair who wears a blue knee-length skirt and a red sleeveless top. She is barefoot and on a warm brown background. Upon purchase, this piece will be carefully cut from the companion piece, unless the buyer purchases...
