Large Ceramic Parrot Bird Sculpture in Blue and Orange Polychrome Majolica
About the Item
A tall bright ceramic bird sculpture in the style of Meissen. Glazed in blue, green, orange and brown polychrome, this large bird sculpture will be a wonderful accent to a bookshelf or credenza. He has a tall feathered plume of feathers which is glazed in orange atop his head. He is sitting perched on a brown tree stump, which has leaves protruding out the front and sides. From behind, he displays his bright blue feathers that are glazed in a bright blue polychrome. The underside has no markings, and features three round green felt pads to protect surfaces. The inside is hallow and would be great for hiding things like money or jewelry.
