About Allan Greenberg Architect

Allan Greenberg is known as the leader of the current era of modern classicism. His practice, Allan Greenberg Architect, has flourished for over four decades with offices in New York and Alexandria, Virginia. Commissions include institutional, academic, commercial, and residential buildings. Whether designing a monumental opera house or a New England farmhouse, AGA’s talent is in capturing the essence of context and history in each project. The firm is known for very close client relationships and an unrelenting attention to detail. While experts in historically minded architecture, AGA holds the strong belief that neither old nor new is always right. Modern building technologies and age-old craftsmanship work hand-in-hand to create beautiful and functional buildings. The firm operates much like an atelier with associates following projects from conception through to the client move-in. Many associates have been at the firm for more than 15 years; principal architect, Thomas Noble, for more than 30. Prestigious projects include the redesign of the Secretary of State’s offices and the Treaty Room Suite in the United States State Department, buildings at Princeton and UVA, as well a residential portfolio of many high-profile private clients.
