An exceptional, fine and impressive pair of antique Victorian English cast sterling silver taper candlesticks; an addition of our ornamental silverware collection These exceptional antique Victorian cast sterling silver taper candlesticks have a plain classical English form. The cylindrical capitals are encircled with bands of tooled decoration and retain the original hallmarked detachable push fit sconces. The waisted section of each column features a plain panelled quatrefoil shaped knop. These Victorian taper candlesticks have quatrefoil shaped stepped bases with central plain sunken wells. Each taper candlestick does not have a weighted base. Condition These solid silver taper candlesticks are an exceptional gauge of silver, fine quality and in excellent presentation condition. Full hallmarks struck to the surface of each base and full hallmarks to the sleeve of each sconce are all very clear; the full hallmarks to the base of one candlestick has wear in keeping with age, but remains clear and legible. An exceptional, fine and impressive pair of antique Victorian English sterling silver piano candlesticks; an addition of our ornamental silverware collection These exceptional antique Victorian sterling silver candlesticks have a circular rounded form. The plain cylindrical capital of each silver candlestick is plain and encircled with an applied moulded border to the rim. The capitals retain the original hallmarked push fit sconces, ornamented to the rim with chased leaf decoration. The waisted column of each candlestick is embellished with chased leaf decoration to a large compressed circular knop, in addition to leaf motifs enveloping the lower portion. These impressive columns surmountcircular spreading bases, each ornamented with four large palmette style leaf designs, with further applied foliate decoration to the rim. A fine and impressive pair of vintage Elizabeth II English sterling silver candleholders in the Art Deco style; an addition to our ornamental silverware collection. These vintage Elizabeth II sterling silver candleholders have a circular waisted form. The plain capital to each candleholder is supported by two plain waisted moulded arms forming a shaped column. The upper terminals of the columns are embellished with chased ribbed ornamentation. The lower portion of the column of each candleholder integrates into a stepped foot to the circular base. The circular bases are each supported with four stepped feet, all crafted in the iconic Art Deco style.
