This is a beautiful porcelain heart shaped Desert dish, hand painted and gilded in a sprig pattern, made by the Derby factory, in the late Georgian period, circa 1825.
This dish has been hand decorated in a French influenced "Chantilly" pattern consisting of scattered sprigs painted in green and gold, with further rich hand gilding around the rim.
The dish has the printed Derby Crown mark, in red together with the "D" below.

This is a fine porcelain Shell Dish, beautifully hand painted in pattern 3884 and made by H & R Daniel of London Road, Stoke, Staffordshire Potteries, England.
Pieces by H & R Daniel are beautifully decorated and sought after, being very expensive when first made.
The dish is quite large and well potted with an embossed raised moulded design to the upper outer rim section. The pattern is called Ribbon & Wreath, pattern number 3884 and is fully recorded as an H & R Daniel pattern. It is finely hand painted with individual flower sprigs, with a gold gilded inner rim edging.
The dish has 3884 hand painted in red on the inner foot rim.

NOTES: H & R DANIEL
Henry Daniel (1765-1841) was an enameller and colour maker. Prior to setting up his own manufactory in 1822 he ran a business within the Spode II* factory from at least 1805 to August 1822.
In 1822, Henry formed his own business. Richard (1800-1884) Henry’s second son was officially made a partner in 1826. The manufactory known as H & R Daniel continued until 1846 when it ceased due to insolvency.
Daniel’s wares were said to be on a par with the best hand painted porcelain of the time. Prestigious customers included the Earl of Shrewsbury...

First modeled by the renowned Johann Joachim Kändler on bases by Peter Reinicke, circa 1767, these joyous groups depict musicians making merry by playing the French horn, flute, guitar and hurdy-gurdy, and gardeners carrying flowers in baskets and aprons. Two almost identical groups are featured in Meissen: Collector’s Catalogue by Laurence Mitchell.
Figures by Kändler were especially popular and served as table decorations at courtly banquets. He took the reigns of the Meissen factory in 1733 and over the following 40 years created more than 900 models, many of which were considered the most important and beautiful ever produced. Many of his designs were so timeless and classic that they continued to be used well into the 19th century. This very fine clock garniture comprises of a clock and a pair of vase form candelabra.
The finely cast and chiselled gilt bronze case has a jewelled turquoise porcelain face with Roman Numerals above a plaque depicting children in a wooded landscape, flanked by expressive male and female cherub figures, cast in the round, beneath a scrolled pediment with torches en flambeau and surmounted by a turquoise vase and cover.
The pair of candelabra en-suite are in the form of turquoise porcelain vases...
