Danish Bornholm Mora Clock White Grey Gold 1800s Antique
Located in Lewes, England
Shipping special update - We have negotiated a special flat rate shipping cost to the USA with our main US shipping partner for our 1st dibs clients of only £937 export crated by air. This is price is only available when paid directly to the shipper. Message us now and we will explain how this works. This very early 1800s Danish Bornholm Grandfather clock was peobably made around 1800-1820. It has beautiful detail and the paint is generally good as you can see with the gold detailing turning bronze with age. It has the usual amount of cracking and wood movement for its age but its structurally sound although needs delicate handling. It comes with the original clockwork, pendulum and weights which may work but it is not function tested The clock is sold 'as is' : as a decorative piece only with the original mechanism and pendulum but not guaranteed to be in working order - If you want it working we can fit a professional hi torque battery mechanism for time keeping ( +£250) or you can have a great sounding chiming mech which replays the recorded chime through a small speaker with a volume control and 8 hour night off switch (+£350) or you can choose to have you local clockman clean / repair and set up the original clockwork mechanism at your location to get it going The battery mech change if you choose that option takes approximate 2-3 weeks. The clock will be on our next shipment from sweden so shipping to your location may be delayed until it arrives The bornholm clocks...
