A magnificent, fine and impressive set of six antique George III English sterling silver meat skewers or letter openers made by Paul Storr, an addition to our diverse flatware collection.
These magnificent antique George IV English sterling silver meat skewers or letter openers has a plain tapered form.
This exceptional set is comprised of three pairs of meat skewers, each pair graduating in size.
Each skewer is ornamented with the contemporary bright cut engraved crest below a baron's coronet.
The terminal of each skewer is embellished with a chased decorated shell design below a reed decorated circular ring loop finger piece.
Sets of six graduated antique silver skewers are difficult to locate, especially those by the renowned and important London silversmith Paul Storr.
The original use of this item was purely as a game/meat skewer. Due to its form, this piece may certainly be used as an effective letter openers

In 2003, designer, Maurizio Galante, teamed up with trend forecast analyst and designer Tal Lancman, to form Interware. Their crossover vision transverses the different design disciplines, from fashion to furniture, interiors, architecture and gardening. As the duo moves freely between disciplines, they revisit domains equipped with new understandings, insights and observations. The process results in a multi-faceted concept, with a subtle balance between the pragmatic and the irrational. The surface of this sterling silver christening mug is plain and has a subtle planished finish.
This fine example of antique silverware is fitted with a cast sterling silver handle, accented with an incurved handpiece, in addition to ribbed designs.
This impressive 1930s silver mug was crafted by the renowned and highly collectable silversmith Robert Edgar Stone; the underside of the mug bears R. E. Stone's signature in addition to the full hallmarks.

This fine antique Russian silver tray has an oval shaped form.
The surface of the drinks tray is embellished with engraved floral and foliate sprays incorporating eight circular vacant cartouches subdivided by rosette designs.
The ornamentation to the tray encompasses a large vacant circular cartouche.
The raised rounded border is ornamented with applied moulded decoration to the rim.
