This exceptional set of three Italian wall sconces is a beautiful example of late 1970s to early 1980s lighting design, combining natural materials with timeless geometric elegance. Handcrafted from genuine Capiz shell panels framed in finely soldered brass-toned metal, these sconces emit a wonderfully warm, soft light that instantly creates an inviting atmosphere. One of the most distinctive features of this rare ensemble is its carefully composed arrangement. Two sconces share an identical pattern, while the third mirrors the design in reverse, creating a perfectly balanced composition when displayed together. Whether installed in a hallway, living room, bedroom, or hospitality interior, the result is both architectural and highly decorative. The translucent Capiz shells display their characteristic iridescent, softly golden shimmer, revealing the natural beauty of the material. Even when switched off, the shells reflect ambient light with subtle pearl-like brilliance. Illuminated, they produce a warm and elegant glow that highlights the organic texture of every shell segment. Each sconce is mounted on a practical molded wall fixture incorporating an integrated pull-chain switch, allowing independent operation if desired. Every fixture accommodates one standard E26/E27 screw-base light bulb, making them fully compatible with modern LED or other energy-efficient light sources. The overall craftsmanship is of very high quality, with carefully assembled shell panels and precisely soldered metal framing that underline the refined Italian design. As expected with authentic vintage Capiz shell lighting, the sconces show age-appropriate signs of use. One shade has a tiny pinhead-sized perforation in a single shell panel, clearly documented in the photographs. This minor imperfection is barely noticeable and does not detract from either the beauty or functionality of the set. Elegant, atmospheric, and increasingly difficult to find as a complete trio, these wall sconces embody the relaxed sophistication of Italian interior design and remain as timeless today as when they were created over four decades ago. This exceptional French Art Deco chandelier was created in the late 1920s through a remarkable collaboration between Muller Frères of Lunéville and Parisian artistic ironworker André Kovacs. Monumental, sculptural, and extremely rare, the fixture is entirely decorated with stylized peacocks, a celebrated motif of the Art Deco period. The chandelier features five molded glass shades by Muller Frères: four spherical outer shades surrounding a larger central globe. Each shade is decorated with six elegant peacocks in relief. The four outer lights are suspended from hand-worked wrought-iron supports shaped as peacocks, precisely echoing the decoration of the glass. Four additional iron peacocks appear around the upper frame beneath the canopy, creating an unusually cohesive and theatrical composition. Each glass shade bears two Muller Frères signatures: “Muller Frères Lunéville” molded beneath the base and “Muller Fres Lunéville” acid-etched near the neck. André Kovacs (1876–1957) was born in Párkány, then part of Ottoman Hungary, and settled in France at the beginning of the 20th century. Working from Paris, he became known for his hammered wrought-iron ornamentation and received numerous distinctions, including a gold medal at the 1905 Liège Universal Exhibition. During the late 1920s, Kovacs produced refined lighting fixtures combining his metalwork with molded and pressed glass by Muller Frères. The glass rims display several small chips and one open bubble, typical manufacturing and age-related characteristics that remain concealed by the metal mounts. Overall condition is very good.
