Coffee Table, Organic Modern, Butterfly-Shaped, Hand-Painted Polished Copper
Coffee Table, Organic Modern, Butterfly-Shaped, Hand-Painted Polished Copper

Coffee Table, Organic Modern, Butterfly-Shaped, Hand-Painted Polished Copper

By EMOTIONAL OBJECTS, João Faria

Located in Vila Nova Famalicão, PT

Our Nature Collection is eclectic and incomplete. We will always be waiting for Nature's next inspiration. The coffee table from this collection is butterfly-inspired, and the console from the same collection is dragonfly-inspired. Their unique and delicate designs are considered as beautiful as sculptures. The legs can be made of polished brass or polished copper. The tabletop is a thick acrylic plate laser-cut in the butterfly shape and then hand-painted with gold or copper paint and gold or copper flakes to match the legs' colour. With its polished finish, this coffee table requires a significant amount of time to manufacture, as the hand-painting and polishing operations are both time-consuming and involve multiple work steps for surface preparation. The Nature Coffee Table´s manufacturing process is time-consuming. Due to the long hours of delicate construction, it is finished with meticulous attention to detail, resulting in exceptional craftsmanship. This listing is for a coffee table mastercrafted in carefully selected copper. Copper furniture is not just a trend; it will last a long time. It's perfect for creating a warm and inviting ambience in any space. Also, copper is 100% recyclable, eco-friendly, and highly durable. The copper will be varnished to protect it from patina. Dimensions: Custom dimensions are available by request and only after analysis. You can try it in your space using Augmented Reality with your mobile phone (Nature Collection, available on our website). Assembled piece. It will be delivered in a wooden box packed in bubble wrap. This piece is entirely made in Portugal and manufactured artisanally. The author carefully executed or supervised every process step in a small workshop context. Labour of love from Portugal. Designer/Author - Joao Faria/Emotional Objects. Manufacturer - Joao Faria/Emotional Objects. At Emotional Objects, we don't follow trends or fashion. Instead, we create distinct and timeless objects with solid ideas and concepts. Every Emotional Object has a meaningful story behind it. Made to last for generations, we proudly see our objects as future furniture...

Antique, New and Vintage Copper Furniture

From cupolas to cookware and fine art to filaments, copper metal has been used in so many ways since prehistoric times. Today, antique, new and vintage copper coffee tables, mirrors, lamps and other furniture and decor can bring a warm metallic flourish to interiors of any kind.

In years spanning 8,700 BC (the time of the first-known copper pendant) until roughly 3,700 BC, it may have been the only metal people knew how to manipulate.

Valuable deposits of copper were first extracted on the Mediterranean island of Cyprus around 4,000 BC — well before Europe’s actual Bronze Age (copper + tin = bronze). Tiny Cyprus is even credited with supplying all of Egypt and the Near East with copper for the production of sophisticated currency, weaponry, jewelry and decorative items.

In the 15th, 16th and 17th centuries, master painters such as Leonardo da Vinci, El Greco, Rembrandt and Jan Brueghel created fine works on copper. (Back then, copper-based pigments, too, were all the rage.) By the late 19th and early 20th centuries, decorative items like bas-relief plaques, trays and jewelry produced during the Art Deco, Arts and Crafts and Art Nouveau periods espoused copper. These became highly valuable and collectible pieces and remain so today.

Copper’s beauty, malleability, conductivity and versatility make it perhaps the most coveted nonprecious metal in existence. In interiors, polished copper begets an understated luxuriousness, and its reflectivity casts bright, golden and earthy warmth seldom realized in brass or bronze. (Just ask Tom Dixon.)

Outdoors, its most celebrated attribute — the verdigris patina it slowly develops from exposure to oxygen and other elements — isn’t the only hue it takes. Architects often refer to shades of copper as russet, ebony, plum and even chocolate brown. And Frank Lloyd Wright, Renzo Piano and Michael Graves have each used copper in their building projects.
