This impressive teak coffee table was crafted on the island of Java, Indonesia, during the first half of the 20th century and originally formed part of the interior of a tobacco or cigar company. Tables of this type were commonly used in offices and reception areas of plantations and trading houses, where durability and refined appearance were equally important. Measuring an impressive approximately 76" wide by 39" deep (193 x 100 cm), this substantial table makes a striking centerpiece in both traditional and contemporary interiors.
