These fabulous English traditional classic Queen Anne style open armchairs are exceptionally designed and handcrafted. A classic timeless and luxurious style inspired by pieces of American and European antiquity from the 17th century design. The elegant design features a tall fully upholstered back and seat, and hand-curved arms with leaves. Raised on cabriole front legs carved with a leaf on each knee and ending in pad feet carved with leaf and raked tapered back legs. Berlin based, Bauhaus educated, multi-disciplinary designer Hannes Grebin has created a group of upholstered seating for Todd Merrill Custom Originals, inspired by the questioning of traditional domestic decor. Applying the principals of Cubism to design, Grebin masterfully deconstructs the traditional shapes and detailing of a “family room sofa” into simplified geometric shapes and interlocking planes. The sofa is hand built with the highest quality construction and upholstered in gold silk velvet by hand. The cast bronze legs are designed and created by Markus Haase.
