Using a simple expedient similar to Lego’s snap-on system, the height of the Up sofa’s backrest can be adjusted according to personal choice. Place the back cushions on top of the low backrest to create a higher backrest and a deeper seat. The particular shape of the cushions ensures maximum stability. This is Esosoft ? the first project by Antonio Citterio for Cassina ? a modular sofa that embodies the timeless elegance and style the Italian designer is known for and, at the same time, is an aspirational tribute to the art of the great masters and to the practice of visualizing furniture by detaching the structural part from its padded interior.
