A beautifully proportioned British Art Deco dressing stool, dating to circa 1930 and crafted in richly figured golden birdseye maple. The stool displays the streamlined geometric elegance characteristic of the Art Deco period, with broad shaped side supports, subtly curved profiles and stepped feet creating a strong architectural silhouette. A low stretcher provides additional stability while complementing the clean, symmetrical design. The warm golden tones and distinctive figuring of the birdseye maple give the piece considerable decorative appeal, contrasting elegantly with the ivory faux suede upholstered seat.
