About the Item

This striking stool was produced in Sweden in the early 1950s. The design is marked by the rectangular and slightly curved shaped of the seat and the sturdy, tapered legs placed at an angle. All is executed in solid Swedish pine wood displaying an attractive grain. A beautiful example of the functional Swedish Modern style as proposed by designers such as Axel Einar Hjorth and Carl Malmsten. The stool is in good original condition with a beautiful natural patina on the wood.
