The “Repose” armchair is designed and conceived as a tribute to director’s chair or luxury safari foldable furniture. All pieces are done with cold steel rods, machined on a turning lathe, black powder coated and lacquered with a matt rubber effect. Our signature screws are made with brass turning lathed, polished, and lacquered, these are the pieces that fix the saddle leather to the metal frame. Leathers are Spanish hides vegetable tanned. We use premium saddles in five colors to adjust to your taste and interior needs. This traditional vegetable dyeing and tanning method is an organic technique that relies on natural tannings from bark or plant tissues. The use of oils and natural fats give the leather a distinctive flexibility and texture, allowing it to be molded, retain its shape and age graciously. All skins are carefully selected from food industry sub-products, with a minimum thickness of 3.5 mm / 0,02 in, using the part of the animal's shoulder, which allows for larger pieces and uniformity, even though signature wrinkle from the animal’s neck may be recognizable. The vegetable tanning is a traditional and artisan treatment, which is respectful to the environment. Even with careful selection natural marks as a result of the contact with other animals, the age, origin and characteristics of the skin, or even the season in which the tanning takes place cannot be avoided.
