Lavishly hand decorated in Imari palette with colours of Iron Red and Cobalt Blue with gilt on an off-white ground, each rim with four projecting Lion's heads ending on four paw feet on a shaped base.
Condition: Superb condition for such early items, light wear to gilding at high points and some staining inside, evidence of gilt overpainting on one cover, see image. Both bases with iron red mark for circa 1815.

Stunning and extremely rare Georgian Irish Heavy Gauge hand cut crystal fruit bowl or centerpiece of traditional outline, of outstanding quality and condition. Circa 1800 - 1825.
The unusual fan-cut decorative rim above a deep cut diamond pattern all-round body with a single ring stem socle, ending on a circular base with star cut pattern underneath. Made in Ireland in either Waterford or Belfast. This piece is unmarked, early pieces were not usually. *This piece is over quarter of an inch in thickness allover.
Condition: Good condition for such an early piece of rare Irish glass. No inside clouding, wonderful evidence of age wear at base underneath, few flea bites to top rim, difficult to see.
Measures: Diameter: (at widest) 5.75” (14.75cm). Height: (just over) 5” (13cm).

An impressive George II hand cut full led Irish Crystal Pedestal “Kettle Drum” Bowl of circular outline and unusually large proportions. Made by the Old Waterford Glass Company, County Tipperary in Ireland. Late Eighteenth, early Nineteenth Century.
The heavy gauge circular wavy cut rim with a band of richly cut diamond and chevron cut pattern. The lower bowl area with scale cut detailing, raised on a single ring socle stem above a square thick spreading pedestal, underneath with “lemon squeeze” foot detail.
Condition: Good untouched condition with no losses, except for one tight short crack, see two images which clearly show this imperfection, wonderful age wear underneath base. Typically unmarked as Georgian pieces were not.
*Stunning and rare example of a piece of Irish Georgian History. The asking price reflects the imperfection. Wonderful rare “grey” tint to crystal, so typical of Eighteenth-Century Irish pieces.

The history of Irish Hand Cut Crystal goes back to the late 17th century. George Ravenscroft started the tradition in 1676. The glassmaker added lead oxide to the silicates that make up the molten glass. The process achieved a softness that allowed the glass to be blown and carved while remaining hard and clear as it cooled. The first crystal factory in Ireland opened in County Tyrone in 1771.
The Creation of Waterford Crystal
The Waterford Crystal we know today back in 1783 with George and William Penrose. Their vision was to “create the finest quality crystal for drinking vessels and decorative objects of beauty for the home.”
The Penrose brothers sought the expertise of renowned glassmaker John Hill in 1785. Hill that began the process of polishing the glass to give the unique Waterford Crystal shine now known the world over. Stylish and quite rare heavy gauge silvered chisel Cast Iron Victorian Door Stop of exceptional quality, last half of the Nineteenth Century of English origin.
Depicting a standing pose of an Irishman the Duke of Wellington in full uniform attire, holding a sword and standing on a magnificent, stepped platform with a ball foot at each corner.
Condition: Good overall condition, with no restoration anywhere, professionally re-silvered by our restorers in London. Doorstop is constructed by bolting together in three areas, see image. Casting is exceptional, study face area.

Stunning Pair French Louis XV Style well veined polished Sienna Marble Patinated Bronze Dore and Ormolu Three Light Candelabra, after a model by Pierre Gouthiere (1732-1813). Mid to late Nineteenth Century
Each with a centered empire style square marble support with an ornate applied decoration depicting an Eagle, issuing two decorative scrolled candle holders complete with their original firm fitting drip pans, ending on a decorative square marble base with original four ormolu toupie feet.
Condition: Good condition with no losses, professionally re-gold plated, nice original firm fitting drip pans.
Height: (entire as shown on main image) 10.25" (26cm). Width: (across arms) 8.25" (21m). Depth: (at base) 3.25” (8.5cm).

Beautifully mounted on to a rectangular light green Alabaster or Onyx plaque with highly ornate Champleve enamel detailing in colours, which is mounted on to a polished brass backing.
