This elegant French Limoges porcelain box dates from the 20th century and is distinguished by its unusual spherical form and refined gilt-metal mounting. Made of white glazed porcelain, the box consists of two rounded halves joined by an ornate gilt-metal band that encircles the body.
The decorative metal mount features a finely embossed repeating pattern and an elaborate clasp with a small wreath-shaped handle, providing a rich contrast to the simplicity of the plain white Limoges porcelain.
