I have completed my bachelors of fine arts from JNAFAU Hyderabad.My first solo show happened with gallery g in 2010.later after that I had many solo and group exhibitions. Recently I have been painting various versions of a bull that is traditionally decorated during sankranthi. I am touched with Indian culture and tradition and since past many years I have been working on this bull series and its also symbolic image of "SANKRANTI" festival. My childhood my village are the reasons for this gangireddu. I lived in a village for twenty five years and am strongly connected to my village and my roots there.And I have chosen Gangireddu because I found it very interesting with beautiful traditional elements in it. Another technique used throughout Farhad’s work is the method of applying the colour: dot-by-dot till the entire area is completely covered. Various elements from miniature paintings, Kalighat paintings, Japanese prints and images from mass media are scrutinized, transformed and transferred on to the surface through the artists own style of expression. He is a central character in the Mahabharata, the Bhagavata Purana and the Bhagavad Gita, and is mentioned in many Hindu philosophical, theological, and mythological texts. They portray him in various perspectives: a god-child, a prankster, a model lover, a divine hero, and as the universal supreme being. His iconography reflects these legends, and shows him in different stages of his life, such as an infant eating butter, a young boy playing a flute, a young man with Radha or surrounded by women devotees, or a friendly charioteer giving counsel to Arjuna. He is sometimes accompanied by cows or a calf, which symbolise the divine herdsman Govinda. Alternatively, he is shown as a romantic and seductive man with the gopis (milkmaids), often making music or playing pranks. Style : Marked for the refined handling of line work and palette, his painterly compositions, reflect influences of folk art and Bengal School. The renderings are poetic and the narratives mythical, folklore-inspired or religious. His curvaceous and languid figures, often accompanied by a surrounding halo, are set amidst a natural habitat. The imagery features Buddha, Krishna, other legendry icons as well as pretty damsels and lotus flowers. Figures dominate the whole thinking process of his paintings with different subjects such as mermaids, musicians (Classical Musicians , Rajasthani Folk Singers and Baul Singers) and mythological figures appearing in his works. He was deeply influenced by the life Sri Aurobindo and thus enlightened beings. Such as Buddha, Jesus and Krishna are also a recurring theme in his Golden Man series. His focus on detail and remarkable skill over the line make his style unique. He uses a traditional method of tempera painting which goes back to the Indian miniature though the material he uses is totally contemporary. My work builds meaning primarily by exploring the unbridgeable difference between animals and people. A proactive imagery of humans and animals suggests an investigation of linguistics, the natural sciences and human sociology all in respect to the parallel universe of other species alongside us. I use a seemingly detached abstraction as a counter-point, tomy- stylised fabrications of sexual desire"- Prashant Salvi An undercurrent of eroticism, viewed with a steady detachment often can be part of Salvi's works, morphing human and animal forms and throwing psychological riddles challenging the viewer to decide where life begins or ends. Salvi's watercolours with its technical virtuosity turn images from nature to a surrealistic dance of survival. The works are challenging, complex and magically real and acknowledge life’s gentleness and aggressiveness in unison. While nature’s logic could be used to argue the very existence of an omnipotent creator, Salvi, paradoxically suggests ambiguity to life's bigger and deeper questions; answers of which he feels don't come in neat packages.
