In addition to the signature on the bottom, the piece still has both of its original labels as well.
In Murano glass work, fine gold dust inside the glass is called gold polveri. Perhaps this term was dropped by Marcolin due to the inclusions being more notable gold flecks rather than gold dust.
Josef Marcolin (1933-2015), who originallly lived and was trained as a glassblower in Murano, Italy, moved to Sweden with his brother Benito in 1954. They made beautiful blown glass/crystal sculptures such as this one, which are known for their unique blend of Murano and Swedish style. This fantasic kinetic two fish sculpture, which measures about 9.5 x 6.5 x 2.5 inches overall, is great for the MCM affcionado as well as the wildlife lover.
Rotate the top fish to give the sculpture the angles your most enjoy, and change it again whenever you like. The fish can be separated as well, as the rod connecting them is not attached but easily is removable.
Good vintage condition. No chips or cracks. Light scratches, and some blemishes/spots that could probably be alleviated by proper lucite cleaning/polishing techniques.

Measures approximately 5.5 x 5.5 x 1.75 inches.
Josef Marcolin (1933-2015), who originallly lived and was trained as a glassblower in Murano, Italy, moved to Sweden with his brother Benito in 1954. They made beautiful blown glass/crystal sculptures, such as this one, that are known for their stunning, unique blend of Murano and Swedish style.
