White Crow is a 2020 landscape work with a protagonist bird, the white crow by Maki Kuchida. This work demonstrates Maki's delicate painting skills with a lot of details in one work. She applied aluminum leaf on this work to create a perspective in the background. Maki combines the Japanese landscape painting technique with the Chinese one thus her landscape work is unique in its own way. White Crow is the bird of fortune and peace in the Japanese culture.
