A 2023 painting from the plein air painter, and American Impressionist, Nelson Holbrook White. White depicts one of his iconic red umbrellas on a beach in Long Island, NY. Framed Dimensions: 13.5 x 17.75 inches Artist Bio: Nelson H. White was born in New London, Connecticut in 1932. White has been surrounded by art and artists from the time he was born. The family lived in Waterford, Connecticut and the elder White had been an early member of the art colony in Old Lyme, Connecticut. "Pistoia Street" by Christopher Clark, Original Oil Painting, Italian Cityscape

By Christopher Clark

Located in Denver, CO

Christopher Clark's "Pistoia Street" is an original, hand made oil and acrylic painting that depicts a brightly lit city street. Christopher has been an artist since early childhood, when he would watch Bob Ross on PBS and mimic the famed oil painter’s art with crayons. He considers himself a self-educated artist, with his studies ranging from personal training with contemporary masters, to classical academic art technique, with much inspiration from 19th Century art and the Impressionist Movement. Christopher lived in Italy for a time, immersing himself in Italian culture and art, which continues to influence his painting. His fan base has grown considerably since his return to the US, gaining the attention of Lucasfilm and Marvel Fine Art, which both signed him as an officially licensed artist in 2016. Other clients include George Lucas, Major League Baseball, Louisville Slugger, and Fender Guitars. Christopher’s painting skills are not his only talent in the arts. He has won several national swing dance championship competitions, and also studies tango and blues dancing. He has played guitar since the age of 12, and during his time as lead guitarist for a rock band, he opened for Blue Oyster Cult and Eddie Money...

Bustling Street Market Scene, 19th century Oil on Board

By Oscar Ricciardi

Located in Genève, GE

Dimensions with frame: 49 x 31 x 4,5 cm Signed "Ricciardi" in the lower left corner. This lively street market scene captures the vibrant atmosphere of an outdoor marketplace set within a historic European town. The composition centers around a group of figures gathered beneath a large market canopy, surrounded by colorful produce stalls and baskets overflowing with fruits and vegetables. Executed in oil with loose, expressive brushwork, the artist emphasizes movement and atmosphere rather than precise detail, evoking the spontaneous energy of everyday urban life. The soft, luminous sky contrasts with the warm earthy tones of the market stalls and surrounding architecture, while subtle reflections on the ground suggest recent rain, adding depth and visual richness to the scene. The background architecture, rendered in hazy atmospheric perspective, frames the activity of the market while keeping the focus on the human interaction at the heart of the composition. The figures, painted with quick and confident strokes, contribute to the sense of a fleeting moment captured in paint. This work reflects the long tradition of European genre and street scene painting, celebrating the charm of daily life and the colorful vitality of local markets. Executed in oil on board (or canvas, if applicable), the painting is signed in the lower left and presents a dynamic and decorative composition well suited for both traditional and contemporary interiors. street market painting, European market scene painting...

View from the Train: Cityscape Oil Painting, View of Brooklyn

By Patty Neal

Located in Hudson, NY

View from the Train, 2019 24" X 40" x 1", oil on canvas This contemporary oil painting depicting a metropolitan view is the work of realist painter Patty Neal. The painting offers an intimate view of the city, as seen from a window, as it peeks from behind two metal structures. The dark browns and bright golds beautifully compliment the dusty blue, gray sky. Neal works highlight everyday city scenes, utilitarian infrastructure, and industrial or electrical apparatus. Artist statement: A life is an accumulation of experiences: visual, emotional and mental. By compartmentalizing these snippets of life we create boundaries. The focus of my work for many years has been the exploration of these various life aspects and how they are bound together or bound from each other. My process is often literally composed of boundaries. I make a painting by putting together multiple panels, or I segment a single panel into separate visual spaces. The works are made up of pieces or elements of city and landscape. While exploring the concepts of boundaries I play with visual “reality.” Sometimes I combine images that are upside down with those that are not and juxtapose images from different contexts. Literal boundaries, such as walls fences, expanses of water and highway median strips are also used. My intent is to invite viewers to look beyond these boundaries to see the possibilities of a connected whole. About the artist: Solo Exhibitions 2011 "Interior/Exterior", Carrie Haddad Gallery, Hudson, New York 2008 ”Landscape Revisited”, 1870 Gallery, Belmont 2005 Nomad Rug Gallery, San Francisco 2004 "Landscapes"@Klein's, San Francisco 2004 "Landscape Renewed," Space 743, San Francisco 2003 Exploding Head...

Sublime 2154 - Original Urban Landscape Photographic Collage Artwork

Sublime 2154 - Original Urban Landscape Photographic Collage Artwork

By Tae Ho Kang

Located in Los Angeles, CA

Inspired by the artists of the Modern Art era, including Post-Impressionist Paul Cezanne, Kang visualizes the modern day search for identity in an age where information and images permeate every aspect of contemporary life. His architectural urban scenes are flattened, with everything pressed against the surface of the artwork. At times, multiple views of the same houses are visible, trees and bushes are vaguely alluded to, and the color palette finds a hectic balance. Just as a city operates in a balance of chaos and the sublime, so do the artworks of Kang. The Sublime is a euphoria that affects the deep recesses of one’s consciousness. As is this experience of the sublime, Kang's work is largely abstract. This large colorful artwork is 39 inches high by 59 inches wide. The sides of this textured, original mixed-media artwork are painted and it does not require framing. It is hand-signed and dated by the artist on front left corner. Free local Los Angeles area delivery. Affordable U.S. and worldwide shipping also available. Provenance: Artspace Warehouse. A certificate of authenticity issued by the art gallery is included. Tae Ho Kang was born in Seoul, Korea in 1945. He studied at the College of Arts of Hongik University in Seoul, South Korea. He later moved to California to study Fine Art at California State University, where he graduated in 1980. Since then, his artworks have focused on the never-ending quest for home and belonging in a dense urban landscape. About his mixed media artworks, he remarks: “One day, when I was traveling, I was impressed by the beautiful scenery of the city under the sky, with many straight lines, curved lines, and harmonies of different colors, which seemed to be a magnificent orchestral performance. The beauty of this urban landscape gave me a deep impression and great change began to take place in my work. I wanted to be a molecule in this huge space. I have to find a house of my heart to be molecule. Where is the house I live in? What is my identity? This question has begun to arise. I am on a long journey to find my own house.” His mixed media collage artworks have been exhibited in solo and group exhibitions as well as international art fairs throughout the US and in Korea. Kang's work has also been featured in Television and Film productions, including Criminal Minds, NCIS Los Angeles, Unforgettable, The Mindy Project, The Great Indoors, and American Housewife. His artworks have been exhibited and acquired by private collectors around the world.
