White Water Lilies in a Pond, signed and dated E. Jolin 1902, is a charming and intimate depiction of a quiet summer moment by the Swedish female artist Ellen Jolin (1854-1939). Possibly, the depiction is from Étang de Saint-Cucufa, within the forest of Malmaison. In the foreground a small, partly visible wooden jetty extends gently into the still water.
