From the Bottom Up - Contemporary Landscape/Abstract Painting, cut out, blue
Located in Signal Mountain, TN
Peña’s works range from painting to multimedia installations that question the ever-changing psychological landscape of America; asking the viewer to re-examine their perceptions of the “American Dream” and the affects that pursuit has on our environment. In "From the Bottom Up", Peña takes a more traditional approach to representing a landscape with bold and vivid colors and contrasts the image with a more abstracted and chaotic foreground consisting of arrows and cut Sintra board to act simultaneously as an obstruction and window into the image. The work is framed with a 1 inch white border. Nick...

Charles Henry Miller Hudson River School landscape of Queens, NY
Located in New York, NY
Charles Henry Miller (American, 1842-1922) Untitled, c. Late 1800s-Early 1900s Oil on board 9 x 12 in. Framed: 14 5/8 x 17 3/4 in. Signed lower right: C.H. Miller Charles Henry Miller was a noted artist and painter of landscapes from Long Island, New York. The American poet Bayard Taylor called him, "The artistic discoverer of the little continent of Long Island." Miller was educated at Mount Washington Collegiate Institute, and graduated in medicine at the New York Homeopathic Institute in 1864. Before his graduation, he had occasionally painted pictures, and in 1860 he exhibited The Challenge Accepted at the National Academy of Design, in New York City. He lived in Queens at the summer estate, Queenslawn, originally purchased by his parents. He went abroad in 1864 and again in 1867, and was a pupil in the Bavarian Royal Academy at Munich under the instruction of Adolf Lier. After the 1874 death of his father, Jacob Miller, who was a wealthy architect and builder, Miller received a large inheritance that allowed him to paint as an independent artist for the remainder of his long life. He worked seriously and exhibited regularly, including at international exhibitions. The majority of his oil paintings depict Long Island subjects, especially those in and around Queens Village. Fed up with the development of the eastern part of Queens (present-day Nassau County), he began to spend part of his summers in East Marion, Long Island, c. 1910. Here he spent his time sketching and painting the surrounding areas. In 1885 he published The Philosophy of Art in America, using the pseudonym Carl De Muldor (he was descended from the De Muldor family). His work was recognized: in 1873, he was elected an associate of the National Academy of Design and an academician in 1875. He served as president of the New York Art Club in 1879 and of the American Committee at the Munich International Exposition in 1883. Legacy and honors • In 1910 Miller founded the Queens Borough Allied Arts & Crafts Society. • A New York City public school, Queens P.S. 33, was once named for him. • 1878, gold medal awarded by the Massachusetts Charitable Association • 1885, gold medal at the World's Exposition in New Orleans. Following is a list, which includes many of his known exhibitions: • National Academy of Design, New York, NY, 1860-61, 1865-67, 1870-1921 • Brooklyn Art Association, Brooklyn, NY, 1872-84, 1891-92 • Artist's Fund Society, New York, NY, 1874 (exhibition & sale), 1886 (exhibition & sale) • Century Association, New York, NY, (1874-1917) • Philadelphia Centennial Exhibition, Philadelphia, PA, 1876 (prize) • Society of American Artists, New York, NY, (1878-1882) • Massachusetts Charitable Mechanic Association, Boston, MA, 1878 (prize) • Paris International Exposition, Paris, France, 1878, 1889 • American Water Color Society Exhibition, New York, NY, 1879 • Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, Philadelphia , PA, 1879-99 • Boston Art Club, Boston, MA, 1880-1907 (prize) • Union League Club, New York, NY, 1880 • Lotos Club, New York, NY, 1880, 1896, 1899-1900, 1906 • Salons of Paris, Paris, France, 1882 • International Exhibition, Munich, Germany, 1883 (president & exhibitor) • New Orleans Exposition, New Orleans, LA, 1885 (prize) • Art Institute of Chicago, Chicago, IL, 1888-89, 1891, 1894-98, 1904 • Fifth Avenue Art Gallery, New York, NY, 1889 (exhibition & sale) • World's Columbian Exposition, Chicago, IL, 1892 • Frederick A. Set Sail - Colorful Green Stripes Original Abstract Landscape Layered Painting
Located in Los Angeles, CA
Los Angeles-based artist Amber Goldhammer creates dynamic and energetic abstract artworks, combining acrylic paint and mixed media into layered compositions that evoke a sense of movement and emotion. "Set Sail" is a stunning example of her ability to harmonize graffiti-inspired techniques with contemporary abstract expressionism. Featuring overlapping layers of vibrant greens, turquoise, earthy neutrals, and bold black brushstrokes, this painting draws viewers into its rhythmic flow, offering a sense of depth and spontaneity. Measuring 24 inches high by 18 inches wide, this original painting has grey-painted edges and does not require framing. It comes wired and ready to hang, adding a bold and modern touch to any space. Signed and titled by the artist on the back, "Set Sail" includes a certificate of authenticity, ensuring its value as a one-of-a-kind piece. Key Features: Medium: Acrylic and mixed media on canvas, creating richly textured, layered surfaces. Dimensions: 24" x 18", perfect for accent walls or gallery-style displays. Presentation: Ready to hang with neutral grey painted sides—no framing required. Authenticity: Signed by Amber Goldhammer with a certificate of authenticity included. Shipping Options: Convenient local delivery in Los Angeles, with affordable U.S. and international shipping available. About the Artist: Amber Goldhammer is renowned for her vibrant abstract works infused with street art influences and uplifting messages. Her creative journey began with pigments, powders, and waxes, evolving into her signature layered style that merges urban energy with abstract elegance. Frequently incorporating the phrase "I Love You" into her series, Goldhammer’s art spreads joy and connection, often transforming public spaces through her impactful murals. Each painting by Goldhammer is a process of discovery—a union of color, texture, and emotion, created instinctively without judgment. Her work bridges the gap between contemporary fine art and street art, appearing on everything from canvases and murals to clothing and accessories. "Set Sail" is more than a painting; it’s an expression of freedom, emotion, and bold creativity. Its interplay of colors and textures captures the imagination, making it a statement piece for collectors of original abstract art, graffiti-inspired works, and modern wall décor. Amber Goldhammer frequently draws inspiration for her palette from nature and the colors of the ocean, saying, “I get to take in the essence of the ocean every day, which fuels my creativity and brings me peace.” She draws a fascinating parallel between her highly coveted paintings and the diverse tapestry of the world around us. Just as a field of flowers may initially appear uniform, upon closer inspection, the intricate beauty of each unique blossom becomes evident. Her artwork mirrors this intricate beauty and complexity, offering a captivating journey for art enthusiasts in search of original, one-of-a-kind pieces that reflect the rich diversity of our surroundings. A worldwide collected young artist with ongoing concurrent exhibitions in galleries throughout the United States and Switzerland, Goldhammer's artworks have also been exhibited at major international art fairs. Her original paintings have been showcased in print and online publications and on such TV series as “Million Dollar Listing,” “Being Mary Jane,” “The Catch” as well as both multi-Emmy® nominated series, “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend”, and “Scandal.” Goldhammer’s art is also featured on Netflix’s original series, “G.L.O.W.” by “Weeds” creator, Jenji Kohan. Marilyn vs JFK & JFK vs Marilyn
Located in New York, NY
In a captivating new collection, Alex Guofeng Cao dazzles audiences with his unique twist on instantly recognizable images. Inspired by history and pop culture, Cao manipulates one iconic image to create another in his extraordinary large-scale works. From a distance, the pieces appear to be a singular image but as the viewer approaches closer, you find each work is a masterfully crafted compilation of minute detailed images layered next to one another, creating a mesmerizing and hypnotic optical illusion. Cao meticulously places each smaller image to form a dynamic gradient from dark to light which tricks the eye into seeing one image. This expertise in contrast is exemplified in all of his works, from striking black and white pieces to stunning explorations in high-definition color. He cleverly mirrors this visual contrast in his subject matter by subverting the main image and creating a dialogue between the macrocosm and microcosm. Take the piece, Ali vs Armstrong; here we see the iconic image of Muhammed Ali’s victory composed of thousands of tiny portraits...
