A sweet 19th century splint oak gathering basket with a single bentwood handle and a wonderful patina.

This early vegetable or fruit gathering basket was found in Pennsylvania and has a wonderful untouched surface.

Gathering baskets were used to gather fruits, vegetables, flowers, and eggs on the farm.
