Condition typical rimfritting and restored sections with kintsugi also. Sadly enough part of kintsugi is gone.

The plate has visible cracks and previous repairs (kintsugi-like reinforcements or adhesive repairs are evident), which suggest historical restoration efforts.

One employing the Japanese Kintsugi technique of using gold to repair cracked ceramics.

The golden lines are inspired by the concept of “kintsugi” taken from pottery, where broken item is united back by golden glue to live second life, even more beautifully.

The central line is inspired by traditional philisophy of kintsugi - appreciation of imperfection and antique.

There is also one very thin kintsugi repair on the wall. From a Japanese collection, the chawan comes with a tomobako box and wrapping cloth (from a later age).

On the rim, it has an old kintsugi repair, adding an additional touch of charm to the piece.   

There is an old tone-on-tone kintsugi repair on the rim of the bowl as shown. The appeal of the bowl lays in its rustic and wabi-sabi quietude.

Two crack lines were historically repaired by superb Kintsugi, adding a mysterious wabi-sabi appeal to the piece.

There is an old thin vein of kintsugi repair around the sprout, the end of which has a historical chip is uneven to the touch.

There is an area of old Kintsugi repair on the rim. Judging by the quality and patina, it was historical and likely performed at some point of the bowl's life in Japan.

There are fine crackles across the surface and old kintsugi repairs along the rim that shows wonderful color and patina.
