Return (black walnut wood bird abstract art zen sculpture pedestal minimal)
Located in Quebec, Quebec
Abstract and stylised, the bent wooden sculpture is made of black walnut with a red limestone base. The sculpture represents a swan in movement on water .The swan symbolizes love, grace purity and sincerity. In Japan, a legend tells that the swan is a bird sent by the children as a peace messenger. Minimalist Abstract Color Field Painting in Blues and Greys (C22-1)
Located in Hudson, NY
Nature-Inspired Minimalist Abstract Color Field painting on three wood panels in shades of cool blues and greys. Acrylic on 3 panels, Each panel is 8 x 24 x 2 inches Panels can be oriented or stacked horizontally or vertically, recommended spacing between panels is 1-2 inches Overall measurement for vertical install with 1 inch spacing: 28 x 24 x 2 inches We are amazed by this artist's ability to achieve multiple flawless layers of acrylic paint, wiping it on and off with cotton cloth, to create a subtle yet distinctive woven texture on a smooth surface. The artist's work is inspired by patterns found in nature such as tree rings, rock lines, ethereal horizons, or water ripples. It appears as though a light source is originating behind the panel, glowing softly in a pale, dreamy green palette. This unique surface spreads all the way to the very edge of each panel. The 2 inch deep sides are cleanly painted white for a seamless finish. These panels hang flush to the wall by resting on two nails on either side of the panel, and can be arranged in any number of ways, highlighting the work's sculptural element. Artist's Statement: My paintings merge the detailed textures and colors found in the natural world with the linear and geometric patterns visible in industrial and architectural structures. The interplay of these elements drives the work and provides a platform for constant change and narrative. By simultaneously layering and removing paint with rags instead of brushes, my hand is directly involved with the process. Each piece contains multiple panels that evoke a nuanced and evolving universe. Ginny Fox builds up each non-representational piece with overlapping streaks of paint that frequently span two or three panels. Working with rags instead of brushes, Fox’s hand moves along parallel paths, emergent colors cascading gently towards the edges of the composition's plane. There’s something vaporous to the outer layers of the work, the interwoven strands of color offering glimpses at the painting’s earthy base and hinting at the artist’s gradual process. Having received her education from New York University in the 1970s, Fox has since exhibited throughout the United States, especially in New York City and the northeastern U.S. RESUME Solo Exhibits 2019 Winterscape Soho20 Bushwick, New York 2017 Perpetual Earth Soho20 Bushwick, New York 2015 Intimate Universe Soho20 Chelsea New York...

Sebastien de Ganay Folded Linen Abstract Minimalist Unique Sculpture Fabric Wire
Located in Surfside, FL
Folded Flat Linen 01 2016 Dimensions: H: 36 cm / W: 35 cm / D: 9 cm Materials: architectural wire mesh, raw linen Born in 1962 in Boulogne-Billancourt, France, Sebastien De Ganay studied political science and film at Columbia University in New York 1986-1990 ( (Bachelor of Political Science, Master of Fine Arts in Cinema) and is co-founder and editor of the art book publishing house onestar press. In addition to numerous exhibition participations, including the Centre Pompidou in Paris and the Landesmuseum Österreich in St. Pölten, Austria, the Institut Français in Vienna showed a comprehensive solo exhibition of the artist in 2014. In 2017, de Ganay realized a highly acclaimed installation for the Kunsthalle Krems. de Ganay lives and works in Austria. de Ganay produces minimalist abstract art works, painting, relief and wall sculpture. Sculptures made of aluminum, linen fabric, plastic, oil painting, wood and other materials. de Ganay joins a tradition of experimental artists. In this sense, for example, the Achromes by the Italian Arte-Povera artist Piero Manzoni, created in the 1960s, point the way for de Ganay's examination of folded linen fabric. "The process of de Ganay's Painting is the process of thought itself; it is a process which turns not away from painting, but towards it. And rather than seeing painting as closure, he presents his work to us as a space of multiple openings, layers, shadows and reflections. Painting is, as much as an object or a process, a state of flux." (Adrian Searle, art critic for The Guardian, London (1994)) In the style of Readymades and Arte Povera, de Ganay starts out from a simple utility material and combines this with an examination of the surface in the tradition of Minimal Art. He designed a limited edition chair "PLEASE" a “4 Piece Chair” customized by John Baldessari, Lawrence Weiner and Rirkrit Tiravanija. SELECT SOLO EXHIBITIONS: 2019 CRISS CROSS - Sébastien de Ganay, Raffaella della Olga, Galerie Steinek, Wien, Österreich "Flip, Flop, Flux", Galerie Ruzicska, Salzburg, Austria 2018 "und, und, und", rauminhalt harald bichler, Vienna, Austria 2017 "Fold on Fold", Häusler Contemporary, Lustenau, Austria "Transposition an Reproduction", Kunsthalle Krems in der Dominikanerkirche, Krems, Austria 2016 "Space on the Move", Hausler Contemporary, Zurich, Switzerland 2015 "Fold", Häusler Contemporary, Munich, Germany "Folded Flat" Galerie Ruzicska, Salzburg, Austria 2014 "Turn the green light on", Institut Français in Palais Clam-Gallas, Vienna, Austria "over again forever" Galerie Steinek, Vienna, Austria 2013 Sébastien de Ganay, "Carton Sculptures", rauminhalt harald bichler, Vienna, Austria St. Moritz Art Masters, Schlosserei, St. Moritz, Switzerland "you are here", Galerie Günter Salzmann, Innsbruck, Austria 2010 Presentation of the "All in one"-project, Galerie Renos Xippas, Paris, France 2009 "Catalogue", Daniel Abate Galeria, Buenos Aires, Argentina 2005 "Máscaras, más cajas, más caras", Daniel Abate Galeria, Buenos Aires, Argentina 2004 "Artist Quarterly", Sotheby’s, Vienna, Austria 2002 Galerie Jacqueline Rabouan-Moussion, Paris, France 2001 "Blanchiment d’argent et haute couture", Galerie Jacqueline Rabouan-Moussion, Paris, France SELECT GROUP EXHIBITIONS: 2019 "THE OTHER IS ONESELF", FRANZ JOSEFS KAI 3, Vienna, Austria "Sculptura", Iris Andraschek, Babi Badalov, Khaled Barakeh, Bernhard Cella, Adriana Czerni, Ramesch Daha, Sébastien de Ganay, Raffaella della Olga, Julius Deutschbauer, Sylvia Eckermann, Anna Jermolaewa, Bouchra Khalili, Thomas Locher, Jonathan Monk, Klaus Mosettig, Rudolf Polansky, Hans Schabus, Slavs & Tatars Gerold Tagwerker, Florian Unterberger, Costa Vece, Martin Walde, Lawrence Weiner, Nil Yalter...

Towards the sky (walnut wood bird abstract art zen sculpture pedestal minimal)
Located in Quebec, Quebec
This steam-bent wooden sculpture is made of black walnut with a red sandstone base. The wood grain and the color are uniqueness of this sculpture. The wood has magnificent stripe patterns of paler and darker colors. The title, Toward the Sky, could have different meanings to humans during this hard period. One of them is to stay positive and keep hope. In some cultures, a heron symbolizes contemplation, vigilance, divine wisdom, and inner quietness. As a Chinese symbol, a heron represents strength, purity, patience and long life. In Africa, herons were thought to communicate with the Gods. His art is a mix of art and architecture, hovering between painting and sculpture, energy and matter. It employs shizen (自然): the Japanese concept of naturalness, absence of pretense, or artificiality. Material is stretched over a supporting three-dimensional framework, like a tent, and coated with paint allowing shadows and reflections to fill the spaces in between. This sculptural three-dimensional 18-inches square and 5-inch deep post-minimalist artwork is wired and ready to hang. It is created with mixed media on canvas, stretched over a three-dimensional wooden form. The artist finishes the sides of this artwork as a continuation of the front and signs and titles the artwork on the back. Convenient local Los Angeles area delivery. Affordable worldwide shipping for US and international art collectors. A certificate of authenticity issued by the art gallery is included. Klikunas focuses on the larger idea behind his original abstract minimalist artworks. The work is characterized by “mindful artlessness” and simplicity. The natural-like radiation that comes from the structure of the materials and color schemes expresses calmness. With a fusion of art and architecture, Klikunas presents compositions focused on abstract reliefs based on regularity and geometry that defy conventional perceptions. Through strategic placement and a rich color palette that also includes monochrome paintings, he creates three-dimensional structures that engage viewers in a captivating visual experience. Len Klikunas' sculptural minimalist works are represented by Artspace Warehouse Los Angeles. They have been included in numerous exhibitions at galleries and art fairs as well as private and public collections throughout the world. He uses mixed media in some pieces such as Dust, in which dots of white paint are applied to a darkened Plexiglas surface to form pictures of urban landscapes from the granulations. Avila studied civil engineering at the Universidad de Los Andes in Bogota (1983–1987) and received his degree in Fine arts from the same university (1988–1991). He has presented solo shows such as Talento Pirata, Jaime Ávila (Pirate talent, Jaime Ávila), at the Nueveochenta Gallery in Bogota (2013). Minimalist Abstract Color Field Painting in Pastel Green, Whites and Blue(C13-3)
Located in Hudson, NY
Nature-Inspired Minimalist Abstract Color Field painting on three wood panels in shades of Light Green and Blues Acrylic on 3 panels (2 panels are 24 x 18 x 2 inches each, center panel is 24 x 6 x 2 inches) Overall measurement for horizontal install with 1-2 inch recommended spacing, 24" X 43" X 2" inches horizontally Artist Ginny Fox achieves multiple flawless layers of acrylic paint, wiping it on and off with cotton cloth, to create a subtle yet distinctive woven texture on a smooth surface. The artist's work is inspired by patterns found in nature such as tree rings, rock lines, ethereal horizons, or water ripples. It appears as though a light source is originating behind the panel, glowing softly in a pale, dreamy green palette. This unique surface spreads all the way to the very edge of each panel with its delicate, cross hatched motif.
