"Known for her spirited take on traditional tassel-and-trim style, decorator Celerie Kemble has attracted a discerning clientele that includes such tastemakers as Tory Burch and Lela Rose. A fourth-generation native of Palm Beach, Florida, she heads the Manhattan branch of Kemble Interiors, a firm founded more than 30 years ago by her mother, celebrated designer Mimi McMakin. Inspired by the great rooms of Billy Baldwin, Dorothy Draper, Tony Duquette, and Sister Parish, the collection is defined by its careful attention to craftsmanship, patina, and scale—much like the one-of-a-kind vintage and antique finds Kemble often selects for her clients’ homes. “The designers I most admire chose every piece with a sense of ‘Hooray! This is the one,’” she says. “I hope my furniture is just as distinctive.”
