Each year, DL Watson travels from her home in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida to central Oregon to spend the summer. This painting was inspired by the peonies blooming in her garden when she arrives in Oregon.

This piece was created using a unique process, that includes different mediums, enamel, acrylic, oil, and metallic pigments. It is on a cradled wood panel with a 2 1/2 deep profile.It is ready for hanging.

Painted while listening to Blues music, artist DL Watson created this radiant abstract using various tools to apply the paint. "The color palette is inspired by the waters of the Atlantic Ocean, close to my home in South Florida," says DL.
