An expressionist composition filled with scrawling and cascading strokes of blues, greens, purple, black and white. "I do believe that energy and mood are transferred to my work," says artist DL Watson of the painting process. "This was created with the influence of an upbeat playlist. When I look at this piece I can hear the music and feel its energy."
About the Artist
DL Watson creates semi-abstract paintings with floral and botanical references. Splitting her time between Florida and Oregon, she finds inspiration in the patterns that repeat themselves throughout the natural world. While her paintings are often grounded in her own childhood memories and past experiences, they evoke a beauty that is universal in their natural subject matter. She creates interest and intrigue through the color and movement that she uses to balance her composition.
