“Whole” is a series of formal painting explorations with geometry and color as central themes. “Whole” takes its name from the general believe in contemporary society that we all lack something: It is perhaps the artist’s response to contemporary living as the age of discontent.
Gaber puts the following question in the center of his work: Is the believe of lacking something a motor for our growth or is it a hold on happiness that puts us in the “waiting room” of life?
Play and chance are part of the artist’s speech on this body of work: Gaber explores in “Whole” the hedonistic extra sensorial stimulation and addresses the myth of the perfect man.
